Benefits of Span-Tech Buildings

Our fabric structure designs are professionally engineered. Compare our building with any other. You will generally find higher and steeper arches, greater chord depths, more purlins per bay and more webbing between truss chords. Compare the weight of our buildings. Typically, you are getting a lot more building at a competitive price. We are still proudly manufactured in the USA.

Span–Tech hoop buildings can be used for flight pens, hay storage, equipment storage, composting, calving, commodities storage, dairy, beef, sheep, swine gestation, farrowing, nursery, finishing, machinery storage, farm shop, construction site protection, salt storage, riding arenas and many other general warehousing and storage applications. There are only 3 limitations with Span-Tech hoop shelters - widths are limited to those sizes presently manufactured, some practical height limitations, and your imagination. There are no restrictions on length and very few on how the buildings can be used.

For more information please visit Span-Tech.

Doors Span-Tech buildings can be equipped with various doors to allow a balance between ease of access and control of environment. From canvas roll-up doors to completely open fronts, our buildings can provide the access you need.

We offer sizes up to 18' wide.

Side Awning Side eaves are engineered and designed to complement the curvature of the building truss. The amount of material in our eave speaks for itself. Solid gusset reinforcement and multiple purlin connections provide stability. Eave is radiused to permit proper fabric tensioning. Eave is positioned only about 6 inches below the building base plates allowing for optimum clearance.
COMPARE!

Awning are great options for producers looking to feed either Wet Distillers Grain (WDG) or Dried Distiller Grain with Solubles (DDGS) to their cattle. Awnings allow for easy drive by access with your feed wagon while keeping your bunk covered from the elements.

Ridge Vents Fabric buildings have proven very beneficial for both beef and dairy operations. Keep your cattle happy while reducing the likelihood of diseases such as pneumonia. A ridge vent is a type of vent installed at the peak of the roof which allows warm, humid air to escape

Fabric We use standard 12 ounce( 0.5) per square yard material constructed of high density scrim….overlapped for superior strength, flatness and tear properties. A 4.0 mil coating is applied to each side for abrasion and pressure resistance and for seam integrity. Fire retardant, insulated, 18 and 22 ounce materials are also available.

For more information please visit SpanTech.

Base Plate Our narrow profile base plates fit on top of a wall or post (or on the ground). Our base plates are designed to transfer all downward force directly and evenly to the ground. Wide base plates or brackets transfer a good deal of downward force to the bolts.

Coatings In line Zinc Coating or Hot Dip Galvanization. In line produced zinc coating (sold with brand names like gatorshield, thundercoat and others) is very good and adequate for non-corrosive environments. The very best coating available is hot dip galvanization post fabrication. Welds are coated and the tubular chords are coated inside and out. We offer buildings with either option.

For more information please visit SpanTech.

Purlin Bracing Our standard design buildings all feature purlin X braced purlins - not straight runs. Our X design provides superior strength. Our buildings do not move as much during moderate to strong winds because of our X design and cabling.
